Domy Books — Austin Grand Opening



Domy Books, in association with Picturebox, is pleased to present, Domy Books Austin Grand opening featuring selections from the picturebox blacklight series prints by Paper Rad, Charles Burns, Matthew Thurber, Rebecca Bird, Gary Panter, Melissa Brown, Ara Peterson, and Andrew Jeffrey Wright Saturday, June 07, 6–9pm at Domy Books, Austin 913 E Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX 78702 [ map ] Our neighbors at Okay Mountain are having a great opening on Saturday, as well. It's an exhibition of experimental printmaking, featuring artists such as Maya Hayuk, Geoff McFetridge, Evan Hecox, and many more. Check it out.
	After two years in Houston, we found a good space in Austin and decided to open another location. Come out and help us celebrate the new store. Domy is a progressive bookstore with a focus on editioned books, periodicals, video, and product lines that concentrate on national and international contemporary art and culture. The prints featured in the gallery were curated by Picturebox specifically for The Dark Fair, a subversive and experimental miniature art fair that took place without the use of natural or electric light during this year's Armory Show. PictureBox commissioned the artists to create new images to print over vintage 1970s blacklight posters.
