Make a steadycam for 14 bucks
In keeping with today's movie making theme, here is a link to a page on making a cheap, effective steadycam. The site features an excellent tutorial and a bunch of videos that show the steadycam in action.

From the website:
"Steadycams (or camera stabilizers) are attachments used to capture smooth looking video even when the camera and camera operator are in motion. The camera operator may walk (or even jog), move through tight hallways and doorways, and even climb up and down stairs without shaking the camera. Unfortunately, professional steadycams cost around $1500. Even the cheap 3rd party ones cost $600+. Not exactly a bargain considering many of us use cameras in that price range. So, I decided to make my own version. It turns out, it only costs $14. Not too bad. And I'll show you how to build your own right here."
If you don't want to make one yourself, you can buy a premade steadycam for the website's author, Johnny Lee, for about 40 bucks plus shipping.

Johnny Lee has done some other incredible projects which can be seen on his personal website. In the future I will highlight some his work with the Nintendo Wii remote. He really does some amazing work.
